The Island was discovered during the Tenshō Period, the only thing that was found on the Island was a very old temple with no writing or deities, only a single stone with a single phrase, "Here Buried, the Shell of the Egg" the stone is still in the courtyard of the High School.
A city has sprung up since it's discovery though there isn't enough room on the island for more than a single city.
All of the characters have been excepted to Tenjin Academy the Island's High School, even if they don't recall applying to go there. All of the Students are required to Stay in Special Boarding Buildings in the Yoroi district.
The tech level of this game will be vaguely modern day maybe just slightly more advanced, there will be 3D Printers, tablets that don't need to recharge that often, and things like that, but this isn't Sci Fi so much as a futuristic present.
According to Wikipedia in Japan Junior High goes from 13 to 15 so Characters should begin around the age of 15, they maybe older depending upon what school year you wish to be in. Being more senior more maybe expected from you, but it may also have benefits. If I am wrong about this please let me know
This is a Persona Style game, however it's not based in the Persona Universe, so do no assume knowledge of the games will be that helpful.
